The Colors of Descanso

Had a photowalk at Descanso Gardens this past weekend...and man oh man!  The colors were brilliant!   For those of you that want to know, the Descanso Gardens are located at La Canada/Flintridge right at the intersection of the 2 and 210 freeways.  Here are a few of my fav pictures of mother nature:

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone.  Hope this year will be THE year!  I've got big hopes, big goals, and big dreams...one of which is to update my blog on a regular basis.  So, here's my first post of the year...and a picture to go along with it. This is the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.  Didn't get to go in as they were doing some retrofitting...but the view from the outside was nice.  This was taken with my iPhone...not bad huh?

Griffith Park Observatory

The Griffith Park Observatory was where I ventured to this weekend.  Not much to look at during the day...the view of the city was incredible but it was so hazy smoggy that I couldn't get a good shot. However, night came and the night shots were a plenty.  Got to practice more on my long exposure techniques and got some amazing shots. b b b b b b b

When asked to do a family photoshoot, I gotta admit I was a bit nervous. Not only do I have to make one person look good, I now have to make everybody look good...and all at the same time!
